Radio reception problems (mw band)?
My sw receiver has had problems with the Mw band since a copper wire was disconnected from a solder point next to the Capacitor tuner, i have good reception on sw, fm bands only but bad on lw and mw.
My telescopic antenna is connected properly because it only helps the fm and sw stations get stronger when i aim it to the north.
Should i solder the (2) copper wires to the same solder point or just use tape instead?
i used to have strong reception and clear sound on MW band
before this happened, i looked into the receiver and found out the copper wire is actually wound around a stick hundreds of time with glue over it, does this get the mw stations?

You need to solder the wire(s) back on. You need a good solid connection for radio waves. Only put back any wires that were originally there -- don't put one on that wasn't there to start with. Some antennas are made so they can be installed in different designs, so yours may not use all of the wires.
The "stick" is actually ferrite. The wire coil is part of the tuner circuit; the ferrite is used to enhance the properties of the coil. Yes, this antenna is used primarily for MW, and possibly the LW, band.
