AC Home from the condensing unit outside exploded after replacing a new one.?
Someone could give me a hand? AC / heating unit outside my house does not work. I looked online before and I found that I had to change the start capacitor, what I did, but left again after a few days. I do not know much about these things, but the fan needs a push to start spinning and the start capacitor not good. I tried using a multimeter, but was not sure what settings to use and the son in the starting capacitor to test.
There are actually two capacitors start units. One for the fan (blower) and a motor for the compressor. I have no idea where it controls you. Caps not only "go wrong" without reason. If you replaced is likely to have a fan motor or compressor wrong wrong. From what I have described, I bet you have burned in the motor windings of the fan. It is not too difficult to solve, simply remove the chassis fan, loosen the nut holding the blades to the shaft, pull, replace the bolt back, and again on cable. The man is a fairly complex for a company. Good on you for trying. Be careful there! Caps can be dangerous and it is the tension that could hurt you. Now That said, looking normal caps can be bad too, just test them.
