Amplifier for connecting speaker Q?
I just got an amp and preamp Sunfire and a set of speakers Magnapan. When I went to connect speakers, there is a warning about making sure that the amplifier is compatible 4 ohms. Does anyone know the answer to this question? In addition, the President, I want to bi-wire them and there are four connection ports, but the last two have a bar between them and the link above called "attenuated tweeter. Not Simply remove the bar through them and use connections tweeter attenuation for the second set of cables speaker? Thank you again. MMGS speakers and a Sunfire 2 channel amplification few years
Make sure your amplifier is capable of drive a 4 ohm load. It is likely that an impedance selector on the back of your amp .. set to 4 ohms. If you try to drive speakers with an amplifier 4 ohm which will only launch an 8 ohm load, you may burn the output transistors.
